Preventive & General Dentistry
Vero Family Dental looks forward to taking care of every member of your family. When everyone visits the same dentist it is easier to develop a relationship with your dentist and it is also more convenient for busy families to schedule appointments. We want to meet our patients as soon as they get their first tooth! We offer many services for growing smiles like dental sealants and fluoride treatments. We love children and we want them to love visiting the dentist.
Routine hygiene appointments are important to maintaining the health of your mouth. Even with a good oral hygiene regimen of daily brushing and flossing, the body can build up calculus (tartar) that affects the gums. This needs to be periodically removed.
Routine exams are important to ensure the health of your mouth and body. The dentist performs a Head & Neck Oral Cancer screening, assesses growth and development of patients, gum (gingiva) health, and finally tooth health. The oral cancer screening is especially important as early detection of mouth and throat cancers can greatly improve treatment outcomes.
We use the latest digital technology to assess the health of your teeth and supporting bones. Digital radiographs (X-rays) expose patients to significantly lower radiation doses than traditional systems. We take your overall health seriously and practice ALARA radiation standards (As Low As Reasonably Achievable). The high-definition images created will be shown and discussed with you on a screen during your appointment.
Periodontal disease is a chronic inflammation of the gums that results in destruction of the underlying bone that supports the teeth. The inflammation can spread and cause problems throughout the whole body. Periodontal treatment removes the “slivers” of calculus/tartar from deep under your gums and between your teeth to allow your gum tissues to heal and maintain the bone. Periodontal disease is not reversible, but it can be halted with an individualized plan of in-office hygiene procedures and at-home care.
A filling is a way to restore a tooth damaged by decay back to its normal function and shape. Composite resins, or tooth-colored fillings, provide good durability solutions in small and mid-sized cavities. They can be used on either front or back teeth and look more natural.
If you have a severely damaged, decaying tooth or a serious tooth infection (abscess) that goes to the nerve of your tooth, your dentist may recommend a root canal treatment. Root canals are used to repair and save your tooth instead of extracting it.
Although our intention is to make permanent teeth lasting a lifetime, sometimes a tooth that is too badly damaged by trauma or infection (decay/periodontal disease/abscess) will require extraction. We do an excellent job maintaining your comfort during all procedures at Vero Dental through excellent clinical skills and anxiety-reducing techniques. Don’t worry - we’ve got you.
Many people clench and grind their teeth without symptoms. Dr. Giuseffi and Dr. Johnson can inform you if there are signs of wear on the surfaces of your teeth. If you tend to have a sore jaw, trouble opening after sleeping, or you find yourself holding your teeth together during the day, a guard may be right for you. Additionally: we offer custom-fit mouth guards for your kiddos to protect their beautiful smiles during their favorite activities.

Restorative Dentistry
Learn MoreA crown has many uses. They can restore teeth with large decay or fillings, protect a weak tooth from breaking or restore one that’s already broken, and they can be attach to bridges or other prostheses like an implant. A crown is also an esthetic option to cover teeth that are discolored or badly shaped.
A total transformation: this treatment option is meant to create a smile that is beautiful, healthy and fully functional. A full mouth reconstruction conceals and corrects a range of dental problems including: missing and misaligned teeth, discoloration, cracks, gaps and asymmetrical appearance.
Dental implants are the closest option you can get to healthy, natural teeth. They allow you to live the way you want to – confidently eating, smiling, laughing, talking, kissing and enjoying all of your everyday activities without worrying about your teeth.

Traditional Dentures are removable appliances that can replace missing teeth and restore your mouth’s function and appearance. Dentures can make it easier to eat, speak and be you than without teeth. They can be made to closely resemble your natural teeth so your appearance doesn’t change or they can improve your overall facial esthetics and oftentimes make people look years younger.
We also provide the options of implant-supported, implant-retained and all-on-four dentures to help you live your best life! These devices are much more stable in your mouth than traditional dentures.

Cosmetic and Esthetic Dentistry
Because your smile is one of your most prominent facial features, having damaged, crooked, or discolored teeth affects how you portray yourself to others. A damaged smile may also diminish eating or speaking capacity and keep you from having the confidence with others that you could enjoy.
Teeth whitening is a simple process to brighten your smile. Teeth change color overtime for a number of reasons like food and drink, tobacco, trauma, medications and age. Whitening helps breakdown stains, leaving your teeth refreshed and brighter! While tooth whitening is considered safe, some people experience temporary tooth sensitivity. Dr. Giuseffi or Dr. Johnson will talk with you about your options and how best to avoid sensitivity.
White composite filling material is added to the tooth to enhance the esthetics of your smile. Bonding can be used to fill gaps, fix chips, lengthen teeth, reshape teeth, and change the color of teeth.
Dental Bonding is among the least expensive and quickest cosmetic procedures. The results are instant in just a single visit.
With adequate care dental bonding can last many years! We recommend patients to avoid habits of biting or chewing hard things like nails and pens as the bonding can chip. The material can wear and discolor over time due to tobacco products.
Porcelain veneers are the most natural and long-lasting option to change the color, shape and size of your teeth leaving you with a smile that looks brand new. The ultra-thin porcelain veneers are stain resistant and with regular dental hygiene and proper care, can last up to 20 years. Veneer placement is far less invasive than other restorative treatments such as crowns. We are able to transform your smile while removing as little enamel as possibly, keeping your tooth structurally sound.

Many times a chipped or broken tooth will not hurt. It may just be rough to the tongue. Other times the inner part of the tooth can be affect and sharp pain will be felt. Extreme discomfort also can happen when nerve endings in the dentin are exposed to air, or to hot or cold foods or drinks. Other times a tooth might hurt only when you bite in to certain foods. In all of these cases, you should call Vero Dental to schedule an emergency appointment. The sooner any of these conditions are fixed, the less likely you are to need further treatment.
