    What is the Invisalign process?

During your initial consultation, we’ll do a full evaluation of your teeth. Our team will take x-rays to get an impression of the teeth’s starting position so that a custom treatment plan can be formed. The clear aligners themselves will be created to perfectly fit you in a way that will apply slight pressure to your teeth. Though they can be easily removed, you’ll want to keep them in for about 20 hours per day in order to maximize their effectiveness. We’ll aim to schedule follow-up appointments every 6 to 8 weeks in order to check your progress and switch out your aligners with new ones. Over the course of 12 to 18 months they’ll gradually move your teeth into the ideal alignment. Post-treatment, retainers will help prevent your teeth from shifting back to their original position.

    How much does Invisalign Cost?

When it comes to advanced dental or orthodontic procedures, cost can be a key factor. Fortunately in the case of invisalign, pricing is similar to that of traditional braces. In addition we always make it our goal to make the dental care you need accessible. You’ll have a variety of convenient payment options ranging from cash, to credit cards, to dental insurance, and even flexible financing options. We’re also determined to work with you to resolve any financial questions you may have.

How do you take care of Clear Aligners?

Strong dental health requires commitment and consistency, and the same is true for taking care of clear aligners. Make a point to clean your aligners on a daily basis and you’ll be able to prevent bacteria from building up. Start by rinsing your aligners with water, and then give them time to soak in a specialized Invisalign cleaning solution. Brushing with a soft-bristle toothbrush will also go a long way towards removing the kind of stains  that would make your clear aligners more noticeable. Of course, it’s also still important to brush after meals and before your Invisalign liners are put back in.

    iTero® vs Traditional Dental Impressions

Traditional dental impressions involve biting down into a tray of strange-tasting dental putty, which can be an unpleasant experience, especially for patients with sensitive gag reflexes. That’s why our office is proud to use iTero scanners, which can create very precise digital dental impressions in a matter of minutes. A small camera is run along the top, bottom, and sides of the patient’s teeth, capturing thousands of images in seconds. Once enough data is collected, your virtual impressions will be used to create your first set of comfortable clear aligners—no goopy dental putty required!

Invisalign treatment requires wearing a series of clear aligners to straighten your teeth gradually. Invisalign clear aligners are custom thermoplastic trays made from SmartTrack material. That means no brackets and wires and none of the restrictions that come with traditional braces. Throughout treatment, you will wear a new set of aligners every one to two weeks, directed by our team. Each set of aligners gradually and gently shifts your teeth into a new, straighter position.

There are many reasons why Invisalign treatment is popular among patients. Unlike other brands, Invisalign clear aligners are virtually invisible! During treatment, people may not notice you’re wearing them due to their subtle appearance. Since clear aligners are made out of exclusive SmartTrack material, they are more comfortable and fit better.

Invisalign clear aligners are made of a patented thermoplastic material called SmartTrack. SmartTack was exclusively created for Invisalign treatment.

Each Invisalign treatment is unique. During your consultation, a digital treatment plan will map out the exact movement of your teeth to ensure the clean aligners are applying the right amount of force to the right place at the right time. Our team will monitor your progress and ensure your aligners fit correctly through treatment.

During your consultation, we’ll determine what Invisalign can do for your smile. Since every smile is unique, we cannot guarantee a particular outcome. However, we will work with you to achieve your ultimate goal!

Invisalign treatment can take as little as six months! Ultimately, the treatment time will depend on the complexity of your case. You will see noticeable results within weeks of starting treatment.

The cost of Invisalign is comparable to the cost of braces. Cost is influenced by how complex your case is and how many aligners you will need. We have several options to make Invisalign treatment more affordable, including dental insurance.

Our office accepts multiple payment methods. We’re insurance friendly, offer flexible financing, and accept FSAs or HSAs to pay for Invisalign treatment.

Many teens and adults have used Invisalign clear aligners to transform their smiles. The comfortable material and patented technology have proved successful in helping people achieve their smile goals.

Invisalign clear aligners patented SmartTrack material moves teeth comfortably and predictably.

All clear aligner and retainer materials are made of medical-grade, high molecular weight, thermoplastic polymers. The materials selected for use have a long history of FDA approvals for long-term use inside the human body. There have been several tests conducted to determine the biocompatibility of the materials. All of which pass regulatory requirements. Based on our current knowledge and testing of materials, we are not aware of any latex, parabens, phthalates, glutaraldehyde, epoxy, or Bisphenol A (BPA) in the clear aligners or retainers. As with any medical device, we recommend you consult with your health provider about any applicable risk of use.

The company behind Invisalign clear aligners is Align Technology, Inc. Align Technology, Inc. was founded in 1997.

The FDA has classified Invisalign clear aligners as Class II medical devices. Align Technology, Inc., the company that founded Invisalign, has the 510(k) clearance from the FDA to sell and market Invisalign treatment since 1998.

It may be possible to switch to Invisalign treatment. Many patients use the combination of braces and clear aligners for teeth straightening. We encourage you to schedule a consultation to determine the best treatment for your smile goals.

Invisalign clear aligners can treat simple to complex cases. If a patient who formerly had braces finds their teeth shifting, Invisalign treatment may be the discrete solution to shift teeth back into alignment.

If you have veneers or crowns, we encourage you to disclose this information. Understanding your current oral health and past treatments can better help determine your needs.

Invisalign clear aligners are designed to move teeth individually. Bridgework connects two or more teeth. This may interfere with the effectiveness of the aligners.

One benefit of Invisalign is that the aligners are virtually invisible! Others may not notice you are wearing them.

Invisalign can be removed for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. Special occasions like playing a sport or attending a formal event may be a good time to remove your aligners. However, aligners should be worn for 20 to 22 hours per day to get the best results.

Invisalign treatment is a gentle, consistent treatment designed to move your teeth into their proper position. There is a chance for the first few days of wearing the aligners that you may feel discomfort. However, the pressure is normal and a sign your aligners are working.

As your clear aligners shift your teeth into their proper position, your gums will be re-forming around each tooth. If you have concerns about how loose your teeth feel, be sure to contact us.

You need to wear your clear aligners 20 to 22 hours a day. This includes day and night.

It may take a few days to adjust to clear aligners. Individuals starting treatment may have a slight lisp, but this should disappear shortly after treatment.

Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible. Smoking can stain or tint the aligners.

If you plan to eat or drink, we recommend that you remove your aligners. This includes chewing gum.

Clear aligners are custom-made and fit snugly. It is unlikely that your aligners will fall out while asleep or awake. This should not be a cause for concern!

If your trip was short, your aligners should still fit. However, it truly depends on how long you have gone without wearing your aligners. Contact us right away if your aligners no longer fit.

We encourage you to brush and floss after every meal. Leftover food residue can cause staining on your aligners.

If you lose or break an aligner, please contact us. We will work with you to stay on track with your treatment plan and order replacement aligners.

If you need replacement aligners, they can only be ordered through our office. Invisalign aligners are considered a prescription item. Please contact us directly if you need a replacement.

There are many different types of retainer options. After Invisalign treatment, Vivera® retainers are highly suggested. They are also virtually invisible and custom-made. Similar to the aligners, you will also have an impression or scan of your teeth taken to create your retainers.

Pricing for retainers will vary. Fortunately, all Vivera retainer orders will include an extra set in case you lose one!

Just like a replacement for clear aligners, you have to order Vivera retainers through our office.

You will be provided specific instructions on how often you need to wear your retainers. Typically, wearing a retainer starts off as full-time, then is gradually reduced.

If you lose or break both pairs of your retainers, we can work together to make a new set of retainers for you to purchase. Retainers are essential in helping you keep a straight, beautiful smile!

Unlike other traditional treatments with wires and brackets, Invisalign clear aligners are removable for you to take them out to eat, brush, and floss. There is no long list of foods you can’t enjoy! Just remember to clean or rinse your mouth after eating before putting your clear aligners back on to prevent bacteria growth.

Invisalign treatment can be a great and effective solution for adults and teens looking to improve their smile without braces. The advanced material of Invisalign makes it possible to improve common teeth straightening and bite issues. During your consultation, our team will help you determine what Invisalign treatment can do for your smile!

Anyone who has complete orthodontic treatment is usually recommended to wear a retainer. Retainers help prevent teeth from gradually shifting back toward their initial position. However, each case is different so please consult with our team.

Fortunately, Invisalign pricing is similar to traditional braces, and dental insurance plans cover treatment the same way they cover braces. Insurance may pay for a certain percentage or dollar amount. Our team will determine your treatment cost based on the complexity of your case and how many aligners are necessary to achieve your dream smile and provide you with payment information beforehand. We’re also happy to answer any other financial questions you may have.
