How are custom oral appliances made?
Before your custom mouthguard or nightguard can be created, our team will need to take impressions of your teeth. Our office can take digital impressions with an iTero® scanner, which is quick, comfortable, and very precise. These impressions are then used to design a custom mouthguard that is made to fit your unique smile. Once we receive your appliance from the lab, we will have you come into our office and try it on, make any adjustments, and ensure that it fits well before sending it home with you!
