Why are routine dental appointments important?
There are many benefits when you keep up with scheduled dental appointments. While your teeth and gums tend to be the main focus of your dental exam and cleaning, your overall oral health also gets attention. A routine dental appointment can help detect dental problems early, boost your current oral hygiene, and give you a chance to discuss any dental concerns.

What are signs that I need a dental exam?
Though you may have an exam and cleaning scheduled with our dentist in the future, several signs can prompt you to schedule a dental exam sooner. If you’re experiencing the following, it’s important not to neglect these sensations as they can worsen.

How often should I get a dental exam and cleaning?
The American Dental Association (ADA) and our office encourage dental exams and cleanings every six months. Though this is a decent span between each dental appointment, the condition of your oral health and whether or not you have a history of gum disease or other dental problems may call for more frequent dental exams or cleanings. To maintain good oral health between your visits, brush twice a day, floss daily, and eat a diet limited to sugary snacks or drinks!
